
Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategy: in support to the Logistics and Agronomy Department:
Develops warehouse management strategies.
Taking the commercial targets and stock movement into consideration, proposes the capacity of the warehouse needed.
Gathers and communicates all relevant information on the stock and its movement.
Propose the necessary stock documents that may be needed to register stock movement.
Warehouse management:
Manages the warehouse and malt barley collection centers.
Controls the malt barley stock against all kind of damages
Manages the malt barley receipts and dispatch to clients.
Key Activities:
Records all malt barley movements (receipts, dispatch/transfers, etc.), and keeps the documents in order
Proposing the warehouse size and location in line with the commercial targets set by Logistics Manager and Agronomy Manager
Responsible for developing the capacities of his team as needed
Keeps record of stock cards
Registering stocks or organizes the data for registration in the Company database
Sends copies of all warehouse receipts, goods delivery notes, transfer vouchers and other necessary documents timely to the procurement manager
Maintains the traceability within the warehouse managing stacks according to grades of barley
In charge of the good conservation of the barley (placing rodent traps, managing the fumigation, controlling the germination, controlling warehouse leakages, etc.)
Reporting:
Submits regular reports to logistics and Agronomy departments on commercial grain and Agri-input stock movements
Submits regular reports on stock movements such as dispatches and receipts
Keeps records of clients that supply malt barley to the company and the transporters with the quantities they transfer to the warehouse
Job requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Procurement & Materials Management or equivalent.
At least three years operational experience in a variety of warehouse and store management roles. Preferably, experience in field agronomy tasks, working with farmers, associations, and government.
Excellent knowledge of materials management and inventory control principles
Excellent knowledge of Soufflet Ethiopia’s warehouse control rules and regulations
Ability to carry out physical count of stock items.
Ability to monitor stock movement.
Depth and breadth of knowledge of Soufflet’s global & national strategies & policies.
Ability to communicate effectively and authoritatively on area of expertise.
Ability to develop effective working relationships across a network.
Skill in implementing control procedures.
Skill in the use of computer and S/W related to the job.
