
Job Summary:
We are looking for a WASH Business Development Officer to support USAID TRANSFORM WASH Market development activities at woreda level. The incumbent is expected to engage in supporting WASH Businesses to improve their performance by facilitating supply of improved WASH products and services and ensure sustained demand by coaching and mentoring demand creators and community health workers. The role is also expected to boost enabling environment for WASH market to sustain and thrive.
Job Responsibilities:
WASH Business:
Ensure daily sales registration sales agents’ formats are appropriately used by business partners and sales agents
Oversee routine planning and reporting among business partner and sales agents is maintained
Monitor and report on implementation of local marketing events and appropriate use of sales and marketing tools by business partners and sales agents
Support businesses to promote their products and services and ensure standard and quality of marketing activities.
Conduct routine coaching for Mason installers to improve their capacity in conducting door to door sales
Conduct routine check in and personal conferences for Mason installers and other demand creators to have aim and Plan hence improve their execution.
Facilitate business development support for businesses by woreda BDS providers.
Monitoring and evaluation:
Collect regular Business Partner information using Business partner survey in MWATER platform
Collect verify and encode Monthly, sales Data and weekly door to door promotion and sales information into DHIS 2
Ensure the deployment and correct utilization of innovative electronic data capture systems and protocols
Facilitate/Follow the submission quality and timely reporting and documenting of project activities.
Sector coordination, networking and Partnership:
Facilitate the annual and quarterly woreda WASH/Sanitation & Hygiene work plan preparation.
Follow the woreda project sub- award budget utilization and timely liquidation, in consultation with woreda finance trigger the proper utilization.
Support WWT/WWTT conduct periodical meeting and support the documentation of the meeting and other relevant meetings to the USAID transform WASH project to help coordinate and prioritize key tasks.
Community mobilization and demand creation:
Support the link between saving groups with sanitation product retailors, producers and/or suppliers.
Support district office, Kebele Administrators, HEWs, and other local level actors to employ proven SBCC approaches, according to the national strategy, to promote demand creation for improved sanitation and health hygienic behavior
Ensure all SBCC strategy activities documentation is filed and organized for accountability purposes
Monitor and gather report on demand creation and linkage and sales referrals from HEW.
Job Requirements:
B.A in Management, business administration, Economics, Marketing Management, public health/ environmental health
Four years’ relevant experience in market development and health programs
Sound skills of motorcycle driving and license.
Knowledge of local language
