Job Summary:

FIT is seeking three highly motivated and detail-oriented individuals to fill the position of Junior Health Commodity Distribution and Order Processing Specialist for the Last Mile Activity project with funding of USAID until the end of 2024. The successful candidates will play a crucial role in supporting the efficient and accurate processing of health commodity orders and ensuring the timely distribution of critical commodities to support public health initiatives at each designated EPSS hub. The junior supply chain officer is expected to work in close collaboration with the senior SC expert and directly reports to the hub coordinator.

Job Responsibilities:

 Order Receiving: Assist RRF and VRF collection, reminding of health facilities to send their order based on their schedule and assisting the EPSS employees with the compilation of the orders

 Order Processing: Assist in the accurate and timely processing of health commodity orders from health facilities within the designated hub area, ensuring adherence to established protocols and quality standards.

 Inventory Management: Support the maintenance of inventory records and the monitoring of stock levels for health commodities, including vaccines and pharmaceuticals at the Health Facilities, to facilitate efficient distribution and prevent stock outs.

 Distribution Coordination: Collaborate with EPSS warehouse and distribution staff to coordinate the dispatch and delivery of health commodities to health facilities, ensuring that distribution activities are carried out in accordance with project guidelines and delivery schedules.

 Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of health commodity orders, deliveries, and inventory levels, utilizing relevant information systems and tools to support effective data management and reporting.

 Quality Assurance: Assist in conducting quality checks on orders received from health facilities and verifying the accuracy of orders.

 Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with project requirements and regulatory standards related to health commodity distribution, and assist in the preparation of documentation and reports as needed.

Job Requirements:

 Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or a related field with three to five years of experience,

 Prior experience in health logistics, supply chain management, particularly in the context of health commodity distribution, is preferred,

 Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage and process large volumes of data and orders,

 Proficiency in using relevant computer applications and information systems for data entry and management,

 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team,

 Demonstrated commitment to accuracy, efficiency, and quality in all aspects of work,

 IPLS training is mandatory.
